When a person is diagnosed with ALS, they, as well as their families, develop different emotional responses in handling fear, anger, guilt, grief and regret etc. This workshop will address key feelings that arise when people are diagnosed with a disease like ALS and will provide an opportunity for families and their caregivers to discuss strategies that they can use to navigate their emotions. These approaches can be very helpful in improving the quality of life for everyone involved.
