About Elaine Clavet
Elaine Clavet finished her Bachelor’s in Social Work in 1986 and a graduate certificate in 1991 from l’Université du Québec à Montréal. She has been working with seniors and caregivers for the last 22 years. Throughout this period, she paid particular attention and reflected upon the troubling situation concerning caregivers. Upon her arrival at Berthiaume-Du-Tremblay day center she immediately focused on developing services that could meet the four-tiered needs of caregivers which lead to the creation of APPUI that now promotes those same services. Throughout her entire career, she has combined her work as a practitioner (public-private), teacher and supervisor. In the last 8 years, she has worked as a Social Worker Psychotherapist, supervisor, consultant and instructor. She has developed an expertise in the problems affecting seniors and caregivers that accompany them in their trajectory.
Thank you to l’Appui National & Montreal for their generous support!
